ReMaTek is proud to present Quantum; a new generation of completely revolutionary test fixtures, which allows you to get unequalled precision levels. Introduced at the Nepcon East show in June 2001, this new concept of test fixtures as been developed for a specific market need: reliably hit smaller test pads.

This was made possible thanks to a new socketless probe called X-Probe, which was jointly invented by ReMaTek and QA Technology. After two years of development and beta site testing, you can now consistently reach test pads as small as 0.020" at 0.050" spacing. Quantum fixtures are also equipped with larger diameter probes, which give increased endurance and precision.

Using an innovative contact system, the X Probes install in a more precise way and are more rigid. Therefore, you can design electronic circuits with density and complexity, previously unequalled, while getting superior test precision.

The Quantum fixture constitutes a perfect marriage between top-of-the-line probes and state of the art fixturing. The X Probes are held in place by the retention force of a mechanical contact between the male receptacle and the female probe. The durable male receptacle stays in place permanently and is designed such that it will not need any maintenance or cleaning. In addition, the female side of the connection is renewed each time you change the probe. This system is both simple and efficient, guaranteeing you a durable contact. Quick and reliable!


Quantum fixtures are built differently than regular fixtures. Using standard fixture kits (except for Agilent 3070), the X Probes requires two additional plates under the standard base plate: one to help guiding the new probes and another to support the new receptacles. Using exclusive drilling techniques, we can achieve perfect alignment of all the plates together for optimum probing accuracy.

Quantum fixtures are available for all major test platforms including Agilent, Genrad and Teradyne. Furthermore, they are adaptable to our range of options such as Guided Top Plate, UltraTop, Top Side Probing, UltraLid, Isolated Vacuum, Overclamp and Sealing Lid.
